At our kennel, breeding is a sacred responsibility. Before a litter is even conceived, we carefully select parents who embody the finest attributes of the Lagotto Romagnolo lineage. From the moment they arrive in this world until the day they join your family, every puppy is handled with intentionality and love.
We go to great lengths to ensure a transparent breeding program. This includes rigorous health testing for eyes, hips, and elbows, alongside comprehensive DNA panels to screen for breed-specific genetic diseases. What truly sets us apart in the New Fairfield area is our commitment to a holistic lifestyle; we raise our dogs as naturally as possible to ensure they have a robust foundation for life.
The Gold Standard of Early Development
Our puppies are raised in the heart of our home using the Puppy Culture method. This science-based approach provides a vital foundation of imprinting and diverse social exposure. By the time your pup leaves for Danbury or beyond, they have already begun the basics of potty training and socialization, ensuring they grow into confident, well-adjusted adults.
We view our clients as an extension of our own dog family. Whether you have questions about nutrition, health, or training, we remain available as your lifelong breed experts.
Become a Part of Our Mission: Dog Fostering
Do you want the joy of a world-class dog without the initial purchase cost? Our Foster Family Program is perfect for local families within an hour’s drive of our home.
-
How it Works: Occasionally, we identify an outstanding puppy to further our breeding program. This puppy lives with you as a beloved pet while remaining part of our program.
-
Our Responsibility: We cover all registration, microchipping, and breeding-related health testing costs.
-
Your Responsibility: You provide a loving home, high-quality food, grooming, and routine veterinary care (vaccinations and physicals).
-
The Commitment: Foster families must make the dog available for health testing and breeding. For females, she will return to us around the seventh week of pregnancy to whelp her litter, returning to you once the puppies are weaned.
